daVinci Russian Blue Squirrel Quill Mop Series 418
The daVinci quill is a great tool for very wet wash and mop painting techniques. The best blue squirrel is used for its water carrying capability and soft point. Genuine goose quills are tied with brass wires and mounted on natural wood handles. The sizes of the daVinci 418 run larger than the Isabey quill.

daVinci Cosmotop Spin Synthetic Quill Mop Series 488
This is a cool brush! daVinci has merged the traditional with the space age in this unique and highly functional brush. The series 488 utilizes the daVinci CosmoTop Spin blend of 5 diameters of synthetic hair mounted in a clear plastic ferrule replicating a goose quill. Brass wire is hand tied fastening the hair bundle and clear varnished wood handle to the 'quill'. The resulting brush has the look of a traditional quill. The synthetic has far superior snap and point, but less water carrying capacity of blue squirrel. The CosmoTop Spin mix is a delight to paint with and is visually stunning in the traditional quill presentation.
