Raphael Pure Golden Squirrel Flat Wash Series 916
The Raphael 916 flat bright wash is made form pure golden squirrel. Large water carrying capability is the greatest benefit of squirrel hair when used in watercolor brushes. The wetter the better for this brush. Squirrel also produces a sharp point like sable. Unlike sable, it has less body or snap. The shorter bright flat shape of the 916 sets the belly of the hair closer to the ferrule, increasing the hair strength for better control and snap. Black handle with nickel-plated brass ferrule.
