The 5830 wash is a companion brush to the watercolor round series 5530 from daVinci. The CosmoTop Mix utilizes Kolinsky red sable, Russian blue squirrrel, Russian fitch and small amounts of synthetic fibers. Benefits of each of these hairs is realized in this brush: point and edge of sable, water-holding capacity of squirrel, and stiffness and durability of fitch. The performance of this combination of hairs and its affordability make the CosmoTop Mix an outstanding alternative to a Kolinsky sable wash brush. The sharp painting edge and thick belly combine to produce even washes. It holds more water than an all synthetic brush and has more body and snap than a squirrel wash. Blue stained ergo handle with nickel-plated brass ferrules. A unique brush that you are sure to like!
