daVinci Kolinsky Sable Oil Brushes

The daVinci Kolinsky sable brushes for oils exemplify this German manufacturer's skill and dedication to producing the very finest hair brushes. Kolinsky sable oil brushes are mainly used for spreading paint in an even and thin manner, allowing the artist subtle shading of colors and blending of passages. Fine hair brushes are generally used with more fluid paint. The daVinci Kolinsky sable oil brushes are very soft, have good resilience and carry a lot of paint. With fine tapered points and sharp edges, sables are the artist's choice for precise brush strokes, detail work and delicate blending. The daVinci Kolinsky oil brushes offer a tremendous range of sizes (up to size 30!) in all the traditional shapes. Burgundy handles with nickel-plated brass ferrules.

Series 1610 ROUND
The series 1610 Kolinsky oil rounds are great for precise detail in the small sizes and fluid painting in the larger sizes. This round forms an exceptional point and holds its shape well. Available up to a size 30!

Series 1815 FILBERT
The hair out on the 1815 Kolinsky filbert is slightly longer than the 1810 bright. The filbert shape is very domed rather than pointed. Filberts allow for soft edged painting and subtle blending. Available up to a size 30!

Series 1604 Oval - CLOSEOUT SALE!
The filbert shape of the 1604 Kolinsky is very elongated and with a sharp point. It is hard to distinguish this shape from the round in the smaller sizes when the brush is dry! There is a very subtle flattening of the ferrule that helps give it the filbert shape. This series has a black handle with nickel-plated brass ferrule. Available up to size 24!
