Mottlers are flat brushes that have a wide range of uses. They are used for washes, varnishing, priming and imitating surfaces. Bristle mottlers are used with heavy body paints such as oils and acrylics.

Series 2475 BRISTLE MOTTLER
HUGE SIZES!
The 2475 series mottlers use a short stiff Chinese bristle. This gives the brushes great strength for moving paint, priming surfaces and special surface effects. This brush is available in huge sizes! The handles are plain wood and the ferrule is seamed rustproof steel. Brushes up to size 120 have a flat paintbrush style handle. Sizes 150 through 500 (almost 20" wide!) have a straight ledge style handle.

Series 2493 ANGULAR BRISTLE MOTTLER
The 2493 series angular mottler uses a short and fairly stiff flagged Chinese bristle. The angular shape allows a different approach to the canvas than a flat brush. The long handles are plain wood and the ferrule is seamed rustproof steel. A unique and cool brush!
