Raphael Paris Classic Hog Bristle
The Paris Classic is a beautiful brush and has been a favorite of oil painters since the era of the Impressionists. The Paris Classic is not interlocked like most bristle brushes. Superior, extra-white hog bristles are boiled for an extended period of time. The extra boiling renders a bristle that is very straight and soft. The extra soft, straight bristles produce a brush that is very fluid, responsive and has a soft painting touch. All series have long black varnished handles with varnished copper ferrules.
Note: The Paris Classic brush sizes run smaller than English sized brushes, but larger than European sizes. When comparing brush prices be sure to check actual measurements.
Series 356 ROUND The round Paris Classic has a pronounced domed shaped head due to the straight bristles.
Series 357 FLAT The long flat is a very fluid painterly brush for blending and bold strokes.
Series 3570 BRIGHT With shorter bristles out of the ferrule, the bright is stiffer and has greater control of strokes than the flats.
Series 3572 LONG FILBERT The long filbert creates soft edges and a fluid stroke. A great brush for 'drawing in'.
Series 3577 SHORT FILBERT The short filbert has the same length hairs as the bright shape. It is great for short, dabbing strokes and moving heavier body paints.
